Agreement for Facility Use
This facility is for free climbing (bouldering and lead climbing). Free climbing involves the risk of serious accidents, including potential death, at all times. You must understand all of the following before using the facility.

About Bouldering
Bouldering is free climbing on relatively low walls (generally 1 to 5 meters) without ropes. The CRUX Osaka has some 4-meter-high walls. Whenever you fall in bouldering, you crash to the ground. The floor is covered with mats to soften the impact of landing, but this does not ensure safety. Depending on the landing position, sprains, bruises, broken bones, and even death may result. Be sure to land in a safe position with both feet.

In the event of a crash, you may collide with other users. When climbing or landing, always check to make sure there are no people below you.
If there is a possibility of contact, call out to them or interrupt the climb to avoid an accident. On the other hand, if you are under a climber or near the point of impact of a climber, a collision may occur. When entering the climbing area, always observe the wall and climbers around you, anticipate where the climber will fall, and stay where you can avoid a collision.

About Lead/Top Rope Climbing
CRUX Osaka has a climbing 10m high climbing walls that require the use of ropes for your safety. Although secured with ropes, all risks cannot be eliminated. There is always the risk of a fall resulting in sprains, bruises, broken bones, or even death. Both climbers and belayers should watch each other's movements.
Climbing in roped areas is only permitted when accompanied by an experienced climber who is familiar with lead climbing and belaying techniques and who is aware of the dangers involved at all times. Beginners alone are not permitted.

A Sport of Self-Responsibility
Free climbing is a risky sport that can lead to accidents (including death). You must be aware of the risks and take action to avoid them. Please understand that climbing is a sport based on "self-responsibility. Use of the facility is voluntary and based on the decision of the individual and his/her parents/guardians.

Although the possibility of accidents varies from one activity to another, the following accidents have actually occurred in Japan in the past. (For reference only)
